Ryan Eugene Nusbaum, age 41, of Hanover, PA died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, PA, after an extended battle with cancer. Born February 21, 1976 in Bedford, PA, he was the son of Sharon Williams Stoegbauer of Chattanooga, TN and the late Terry F. Nusbaum. He was the husband of Monique Washirapunya of Littlestown, PA. Prior to Ryan's illness he was employed with Antrim 1844 of Taneytown since 1993 and became a sous chef in 2004. He was a Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan, enjoyed cooking, grilling, barbecuing, entertaining friends and spending time with his daughters. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by daughters, Scarlett and Madeleine Nusbaum of Littlestown; sister, Heather Bush and husband Don of Hershey, PA; brother, Jason Nusbaum and wife Fernanda of Hanover; paternal grandmother, Vivian Nusbaum of Taneytown; nephew, Ian Nusbaum of Hanover; uncle and aunt, Jay and Pat Nusbaum of Westminster; cousin, Jessica Nusbaum of Frederick; loving friend and companion, Ellen Aloo of Hanover and best friend, serving in the Air Force, Donnie Wentworth of North Carolina. A private graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Union Bridge. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for the children. Checks should be written to Edward Jones and sent in care of Monique Washirapunya to 32 Colorado Ave., Littlestown, PA 17340. Memo line should read: Scarlett and Madeleine Nusbaum trust fund.
