Ryan O'Hara, 21, of Westminster, died unexpectedly, Thursday, May 1, 2014, at home.

Born June 11, 1992, he was the son of Patrick and Kate O'Hara, of Westminster.

He was a gifted skateboarder. After losing his cousin, Liam O'Hara, to a drug overdose, he was also avidly anti-drug.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a grandmother, Mary Mintzer, of Westminster; sister Stephanie Nicole Copek and husband James A. Copek, of Libertytown; nieces and nephews Camden, Jacob and Payton; aunts and uncles Terri Buckley, Michael Buckley, Philippe Nolet, John Nolet, and Kathy and Bob Owings, of Westminster, Mike O'Hara and Nora Tomey, of Phoenix, Maryland, Jack and Tina O'Hara, of Westminster, Noreen and Barry Long, of New Windsor, Kevin O'Hara, of Manchester, Bobbi O'Hara and Carl Phillips, of Springfield, West Virginia, Bill and Kim O'Hara, of Martinsburg, West Virginia; and many cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of Celebration of Life service, 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Michael O'Hara, 3206 Blenheim Road, Phoenix, MD 21131. All contributions will be donated to local Carroll County organizations that promote healthy recreational and anti-drug activities.
