Salvatore (Sal) Francis Blasi (91) was born in Manhattan, New York on August 16, 1925. He passed away on August 27, 2016 at Oak Crest Village, Parkville, Maryland. Sal was a very spiritual, kind, loving, generous, and selfless man, and he will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Sal was a loving husband to Anastasia (Ann) H. Blasi for 42 years, and they were long-time residents of Carroll County, MD, and spent the last 14 years living at Oak Crest Village. He was a loving step-father to James D., Thomas M., and Joseph W. Beam, and had seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Sal was a life-long and avid New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed playing tennis with his wife Ann, grandchildren, and friends. He taught math and culinary arts at Western Vo-Tech and retired in 1987. Sal was also a former tennis coach at Loyola High School. He and Ann traveled the world after retirement. Sal was a devout Catholic and was deeply involved in the Catholic Community at Oak Crest Village serving as an Altar Server and Eucharistic Minister. He loved the Catholic Community, and spending time with his family and friends. Visitation at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 will take place at the Oak Crest Chapel, 8800 Walther Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21234 on Tuesday August 30. Interment Private. Please, No Flowers.
