Sandra Lee Martin, 57, of Westminster, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House after an extended illness.

Born Dec. 19, 1955, in Olney, she was the daughter of Edward H. Schaible, of Mount Airy and the late Betty Jane McBride Schaible. She was the wife of Thomas R. Martin, her husband of 40 years.

She was a 1973 graduate of Linganore High School. She was employed as a Howard County school bus driver with B.L. Corn, of Mount Airy.

She was a member of West Falls Christian Community Church in Mount Airy. She enjoyed her grandchildren, her horses, cats and dogs and cooking.

Surviving, in addition to her father and husband, are daughter Melany Ann Knott and husband David W. Jr., of Mount Airy; son Thomas E. Martin Sr. and companion Dawn Burdette, of Mount Airy; grandchildren McKenzy and Kelsy Wolfe, Thomas E. Martin Jr., and Aubry and Kaisy Knott; sisters Debra Epley and husband Dale, of Rockville, and Pamela Harding and husband Bill, of Mount Airy; a mother-in-law, Nina Martin, of Westminster; aunt and uncle Doris and Donald Monroe, of Mount Airy; a niece; and nephews.

The family will receive friends from noon until the time of memorial service, 1 p.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge, with her pastor, Bishop Ross Jackson, officiating.
