Sebastian "Rusty" Verdis, 82, of Reisterstown, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson.

Born Sept. 3, 1930, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Nicholas Verdis and Carmella Fusco Verdis. He was the husband of Mary Lou Townsend Verdis, his wife of more than 60 years.

He was a foreman for TopCraft making cabinets and formica tops for more than 20 years. He also owned Mary Lou's Carryout on Main Street in Reisterstown with his wife for more than 20 years. He was in the National Guard for 10 years.

He enjoyed playing the slots at Charlestown Casino, going camping in his motor home, fishing and hunting. He was a fan of the Orioles and Ravens.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Sebastian "Vince" Verdis Jr. and wife Andrea, of Savannah, Ga., and Nicholas L. Verdis Sr. and wife Donna of Towson; daughter and son-in-law Rose Mary and husband Steve Jenkins, of Hanover, Pa.; and grandchildren Nicholas L. Verdis Jr. and wife Darla, Jacob Verdis, Jenny Verdis, Bobby and Michael Patterson.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy Feaser officiating. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Baltimore, 6601 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21204.
