Sharon Brewbaker, 65, of Taneytown, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown.

Born Nov. 23, 1946, in Hanover, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lavina Virginia Mahanna Eckenrode. She was the wife of Charles Brewbaker, of Pennsylvania.

She worked for 40 years in the office staff of Random House in Westminster. She was a skilled gardener and enjoyed flowers. She was artistic and enjoyed crafts, painting, ceramics and reading. She especially enjoyed giving her time to help others.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sisters Anna Lovejoy, of Hagerstown, Linda Barnes and husband Robert, of Taneytown, and Regina Eckenrode, of New Oxford; brother Michael Eckenrode and wife Kim, of Westminster; close friend, Stephen Knisley of Littlestown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers William and Robert Mahanna.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service, 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown. Inurnment will follow in the Keysville Union Cemetery.
