Shirley Lee (Schreier) Hackett, 77, of Westminster, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born March 9, 1937 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Lillian Mae Lowe and Arthur W. Lowe. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas M. Hackett. Before retiring she was employed as a secretary and previously worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield. She enjoyed crafts and bingo. Besides her husband, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Stephen Potter of Westminster, son and daughter-in-law Martin W. and Amy Hackett of Westminster, grandchildren Todd Kollman and wife Kara, Bethany Reiter and husband Shawn, Brett and Paige Hackett, and great-granddaughters Lilly and Riley; sisters-in-law Betty Amantea, Rita McMann, Joan Schneider and brother-in-law Dennis Hackett and wife Sandy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with Rev. Marshall Green officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157. Following the services, guests are invited to the Westminster Elks Lodge, 538 Gorsuch Rd., Westminster for refreshments.
