Steve F. Boose, 65, of Westminster, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at home.

Born Aug. 14, 1947, in Hanover, Pa., he was the son of the late John F. Boose and Ethel Green Boose.

Before retiring he was a teacher at North Carroll High School. He was an accomplished musician, lead guitarist and taught private guitar lessons.

He played in several bands including Tigers, Purple Haze, Branded, the Country Classics and Easy Street, Vertations and Status Seekers.

Surviving are a brother, John D. Boose, of Westminster; and numerous cousins.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Glanville officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
