Steven Lee "Cadet" Owen, 62, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, unexpectedly at home.
Born April 15, 1950, in Fort Meade, he was the son of the late David Lee Owen and Dorothy A. Sheeler Broadfoot.
He was a 1968 graduate of Franklin High School and was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1969 until 1975. He worked on the road crew with the Maryland State Highway Department.
He was a member of the Maryland Knights and Abate.
Surviving are a sister and brother-in-law; a niece; a nephew; aunts and uncles; and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
Graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
