Steven Michael Bollinger Sr., 43, of Silver Run, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at his home.

Born Feb. 14, 1970, in Carroll County, he was the son of William E. Bollinger Jr., of Silver Run, and Mary Anne Gelwicks Bollinger-Baker, of Finksburg, and the stepson of Charles Baker.

He was the owner of Bollinger Custom Improvement Company. He was a member of the Gamber Community Volunteer Fire Company. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, canoeing, kayaking, riding his Harley and his 4-wheeler. He especially loved children and being with his family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to his father, mother and stepfather, are a son, Steven M. Bollinger Jr., of Hampstead; siblings Maria A. Jaramillo, of Finksburg, William J. Kaas Sr., of Rocky Ridge, Ronald W. Bollinger, of Fairfield, Pa., Richard A. Bollinger Sr., of Randallstown, Janet L. Bollinger, of Las Vegas, N.V., Deborah Baker, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Charles Baker Jr., of Suffolk, Va., Douglas Baker, of Jacksonville, Fla., Matthew Baker, of Virginia Beach, Va., Gregory Baker, of Gaithersburg, and Jeffrey Baker, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Gurlacz.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, with Monsignor Lloyd Aiken officiating. Interment will be private.
