Stewart Earl Green, 92, of Catonsville, formerly of Randallstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville.

Born May 25, 1920, in Soldier's Delight, he was the son of the late Walter E. and Ethel V. Triplett Green. He was the husband of G. Louise Renn Green, his wife of 50 years, who died in 1995.

He was a veteran of the Navy and served in World War II. He was employed in the car service industry. He was a member of Wards Chapel United Methodist Church in Randallstown.

He was an avid supporter of the Orioles and enjoyed NASCAR and bull riding. He also enjoyed attending local oyster dinners, antique steam shows and tractor pulls.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Carolyn Green, of Winfield; daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Ron Burkholder, of Winfield; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Watkins, of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Schwatka.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Nupp officiating. Interment will be in Wards Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in  Randallstown at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Wards Chapel UMC Heritage Trust, 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133.
