Stewart K. Wisner Sr., 79, of Finksburg, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at his home.

Born June 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Carroll Donald Jackson Wisner and Elvie Pearl Knight Wisner. He was the husband of Carol Marie Webb Wisner, to whom he was married for 59 years.

During his early years, he played in the men's Carroll County Fast Pitch Softball league and was voted MVP three times.

He was retired from Congoleum after 47 years and was an auctioneer in and around Carroll County since 1959. He also worked at the Westminster Livestock Auction for 25 years and enjoyed spending his time on his farm, where he was born and raised. He was a member of the Westminster Moose. He was the last of his immediate family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Lois and husband Jack Calhoun, of Westminster; Kenny and wife Helen Wisner, of Finksburg; grandchildren Rachael Calogero, Jason Calhoun and Ashley Chatfield; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be held in Wesley United Methodist Cemetery.
