Terry Gene Fringer, 55, of Westminster, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at home from complications related to diabetes.

Born Sept. 25, 1958, at the family home, he was the son of Catherine Robertson Fringer and the late Adam Roy Fringer Jr. He was the husband of Maryann Fringer, of Armana, Calif. 

He had been an electrician while living in California, was an accomplished woodworker and had served as a bartender at Wakefield Valley Golf Course in Westminster. For the past 10 years, he had been the primary caretaker of his parents.

He had a great love of music, enjoyed hunting with his older brother, Ted, sprint car racing and fishing with his step-grandsons and helping neighbors in need. He also enjoyed spending time with his cat, Sassie Girl.

Surviving, in addition to his estranged wife, are sister June Baker and her husband Raymond Baker, of Westminster; brother Roy Fringer and his wife Sally Fringer, of Thomasville, Pa.; a sister, Joyce Mann, of Westminster; brother Ted Fringer and his wife Sue Fringer, of Westminster; sister Jan Coffey and her husband Ken Coffey, of Walkersville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth "Butch" Fringer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospital Foundation for the Diabetes Center, 200 Memorial Drive, Westminster, MD 21157.

Arrangements are by Fletcher Funeral Home in Westminster.
