Thelma E. Boring

Thelma Erma Boring, 98, of Goldsboro, N.C., formerly of Upperco, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in North Carolina.

Born March 16, 1915, in Albanstown, she was the daughter of the late Pleasant and Mattie May Martin Fowble. She was the wife of Walter Franklin Boring Sr., her husband of 56 years, who died in 1988.

She spent most of her life as a homemaker to her farm family in Upperco. In recent years she had been living with her daughter and son-in-law in Goldsboro. She was a member of Boring United Methodist Church.

Surviving are daughter T. Arlene Fowble and husband Fred; grandchildren Mark Boring, Michael Boring, Jeffrey Boring, Kimberly Heeden and husband John, and Christopher Fowble and wife Tiffany; and great-grandchildren Trevor, Allison and Brett Boring, Taylor, Connor and Anna Heeden and Elliott and Adam Fowble.

She was predeceased by a son, Walter F. Boring Jr.; and siblings Virgie Lahner, Gilbert Fowble, Elsie Bollinger, Pleasant Fowble and Geraldine Shaffer.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. p.m. Friday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
