Thelma Jeanette Bohn, age 90, of Taneytown, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born August 18, 1927 near Unionville, she was the daughter of the late Carvel Haines and Sadie Hargett Haines. She was the wife of Claude P. Bohn. On March 27 they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage. Mrs. Bohn was formerly employed with the Union Bridge Clothing Factory and then worked at Random House for 23 years, retiring in 1990 as a supervisor. She was a member and past president of the Random House Alumni. She was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school. She and her husband enjoyed dancing, duckpin bowling and traveling, having visited all 50 states. She also enjoyed going to auctions and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four grandchildren, Dawn Wagerman of Keymar, Dixie Stansbury and husband Pat of Westminster, Kim Long and Rick of Thurmont, and Chad Bohn and Barb of Grangeville, ID; daughter-in-law, Connie Bohn of Keymar; six great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla Wagerman, Paige and Patrick Stansbury, Hailee Wetzel and Hunter Long; and a sister, Christina Rill of Westminster. She was predeceased by her son, Douglas E. Bohn in 2014; great-grandson, Sean Wagerman; three sisters and four brothers. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge on Thursday, March 15 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 5000 Middleburg Road, Taneytown on Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. Rev. Cary Moorman, church pastor and Rev. Virgil Cain, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Smithsburg will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
