Thelma Louise Power, 91, of Mount Airy, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Jan. 14, 1921, in Lynchburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Richard Thompson and the late Ollie Gray Maddox Power. She was the spouse of the late Vance W. Power.

She retired after 25 years with the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles. She enjoyed traveling the United States with her Little Doxen and camper. She also enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Baltimore Chapter of JOBS Daughters.

Surviving are daughter Brenda and husband Al "Bunky" Daniels, of Mount Airy; grandchildren Allen and wife Sheena Daniels, and Dana and husband Brooks Coleman; great-granddaughters Stephanie, Heather and Amber Daniels and Brittany Coleman; nieces Cynthia and husband Ray Street, and Rose and husband Stanley Graham; and nephew Gwinn Hess; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brother Charles R. Thompson and great-granddaughter Christine L. Coleman.

The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Baltimore National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave. Westminster, MD 21157.
