Theodore Joseph "Ted" VanLeeuwen, 81, of Eldersburg, died Sunday, February 8, 2015, at the Golden Living Center. Born March 3, 1933 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Mercida Rawlings VanLeeuwen and George E. VanLeeuwen. Survived by his partner and wife of 52 years, V. Lorraine VanLeeuwen. Before retiring he worked 30 years as a truck driver for Hall's Motors. He was a member of the Westminster Moose Lodge No. 1381 and Teamsters Union No. 581. He had a passion for trying every restaurant in Westminster. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael K. and Kolleen VanLeeuwen of Ontario, NY, David J. and Laurie VanLeeuwen of Finksburg and William and Beth Frazier of Baltimore, a daughter Deborah Markman of Coconut Creek, FL, a sister Merle Nickey of Parkville,13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer VanLeeuwen and numerous siblings. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Inurnment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park.
