Thomas Archie Flohr, 85, of Rocky Ridge, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at home.

Born June 27, 1927, in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Archie Thomas and Mary Coshun Flohr. He was the husband of Betty Jane Fulmer Flohr, who died in 2008.

He was a dairy farmer and enjoyed working outdoors.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth L. and Karen Flohr, of Thurmont, and Michael A. and Karen Flohr, of Emmitsburg; grandchildren Laruen McCloskey and husband Josh, Jacob Flohr and wife Tracy, and Joshua Flohr, all of Emmitsburg; great-grandchildren Thomas Flohr, Alice Flohr and Kasey McCloskey; sisters Laura Stottlemyer, of Woodsboro, and Grace Marcum and husband Gene, of Massachusetts; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Annabelle Clabaugh; and brothers Amos, George, Charles, John and Raymond Flohr.

There will be no public visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Union Cemetery in Keysville, with the Rev. James Russell, of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
