Thomas B. Mayne Sr., 63, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Oct. 21, 1949, in Howard County, he was the son of the late David F. Mayne Sr. and Lucille Lorraine Bloom Mayne. He was the husband of Kathleen M. Frebert Mayne.

He was co-owner of T & K Enterprises. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Thomas B. Mayne Jr., of New Windsor, Michael A. Mayne, of Westminster, Kenneth W. Mayne, of Keymar, Heather Overholzer, of Mount Airy, and Jason E. Mayne Sr., of Mercersburg, Pa.; an adopted son, Steve Burris, of Manchester; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, George " Ricky" Mayne, of Mount Airy; sisters Virginia Arnold and Mary Kay Rapp, both of Woodbine, and Roxanne Frazier, of Mount Airy.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Jason E. Mayne Jr.; and brothers David F. Mayne Jr. and Harry Mayne.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Poplar Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent, to help defray the funeral costs, to Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD 21784.
