Thomas Franklin "Tom" Harman Jr., age 72, of Union Bridge, died Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his home. Born September 27, 1943 in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Thomas F. "Dick" Harman Sr. and Velma E. Grossnickle Harman. He was the husband of Betty Green "Betsy" Harman, his wife of 39 years. Tom was employed with Dark Valley Farm, Union Bridge, for more than 50 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, mowing and splitting wood; and also attending gun raffles. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, Elizabeth Harman Wilcom and husband, Douglas of Union Bridge; granddaughter, Chelsea D. Humphries and husband, Robert; great-grandchildren, Tatum and Elijah; sisters, Betty Lou Myers and husband, Robert of Cody, WY, Connie M. Crane of Sykesville, Carol Ann Sier and husband, Pete of Union Bridge; brother, David R. Harman Sr. and wife, Linda of Keymar; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Skip Crane. To respect Tom's wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the , 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
