Thomas F. Masters II, 71, of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Torrance Memorial Hospital in CA. He was born April 25, 1944 in Baltimore, MD to William I. Masters & Mary Masters-Evans. He resided in Redondo Beach, Long Beach, & Palos Verdes, CA for the past 30 years. Tom was a Veteran of the Navy who served on the USS Dewey in the 1960's. He was a retired Defense Contractor for the last 20 years. He started out in the mid 1970's working for the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, MD. He loved to volunteer his time at local yacht clubs in Los Angeles County and he loved taking care of his dogs. Tom was extremely loving & proud of his daughter, Amy Masters-Harich of Point of Rocks, MD, and her husband Jamie and his 2 grandsons, Layne & James, who amazed him every time he came to visit. Tom is also survived by his loving and loyal long time friends, Tess Ray, of Long Beach, CA and Marilee & Kevin Wheaton of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. The family will hold a memorial service on April 3rd at Port Royal Yacht Club. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to: IOBG, the International Order of the Blue Gavel for past yacht club Commodores, the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Ascension Lutheran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes.
