Thomas Parker Abbott, 63, of Hampstead, died Monday, June 9, 2014.

Born Oct. 3, 1950, in Baltimore, he was the son of Evelyn Gross Abbott, of Bel Air, and the late Joseph Abbott. He was the husband of Lois R. Ackler Abbott, his wife of 36 years.

He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and The Secular Order of Carmelites. He was a member of the Civil War Roundtable.

Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are a sister, Patricia Abbott, of Bel Air; nieces Brooke Talbot and husband Jonathan Talbot, and Holly Sneeringer; and nephews Parker and Lance Tieperman.

He was predeceased by a sister, Leslie Tieperman.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will be in St. Bartholomew Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, P.O. Box 448, Manchester, MD 21102.
