Thomas R. Harry Sr., 67, of Reisterstown, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at home.

Born Oct. 17, 1946, in Lansdowne, he was the son of the late Wilbur E. and Virginia R. Harry. He was the husband of Ida M. Harry, his wife of 44 years.

He retired from the Baltimore County Fire Department as a lieutenant but still continued to work in home improvement. He was a life member of Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Department and was a past assistant chief.

He was a member of the Reisterstown United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting and playing golf. He was a member of the Maryland Interclub Seniors Golf Association.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters Teresa and husband Mark Trump, of Manchester, and Sandra and husband James Hewlett, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Susan Fant, of Rhode Island; grandchildren Connor and Maya Trump, and Peyton and Alyssa Hewlett; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Harry; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws Donald and Patsy Brown, Vernon and Joyce Gore, Robert and Joanne Gore, Johnny and Sherri Gore and Richard and Alice Klinefelter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Thomas R. Harry Jr.; and a brother, Steven E. Harry.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
