Thomas C. Snyder, III, PFC, United States Army, 21, of Finksburg, MD passed away on November 2, 2016 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Tommy was born August 31, 1995 in Reading, PA. He graduated from Westminster High, class of 2014. After high School Tommy enlisted in the US Army and served proudly with 1/24 1st Stryker Brigade, 25th Infantry at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. Tommy was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had an extensive tattoo "collection" and had the phrase "Life Is Beautiful" emblazoned on his chest. His family remembers him as being honest to a fault. It was said, "You always knew where you stood with Tommy". He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Tommy will be forever remembered by his mother, Tina L. Lendo and her husband, Tom Carter of Finksburg, MD; father, Thomas C. Snyder, Jr. and fiancee Patti McNeilll of Reading, PA; sister, Kendra B. Snyder of Reading, PA; grandparents: Deb Farnsworth of Hanover, PA, Mike & Corky Shearer of Key West, FL, Pat & Thomas Snyder of Reading, PA, Sharon Carr of Hampstead, MD , Great Grandmother, Margaret Feeser of Millsboro,DE.; beloved girlfriend, Sarah Crowl of Hanover, PA, brother-in-life, Zach Cullum of Westminster,MD; numerous aunts & uncles; and his beloved cat, Cleo. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Eline Funeral Home - 2901 Bloom Road, Finksburg, MD. A Celebration of Tommy's Life will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Indian Gap National Cemetery. The family requests "In Lieu of Flowers," that donations can be made in honor and memory of PFC Snyder, to the National Alliance Veterans Suicide Prevention Army Division - 400 E.
