Thurman A. "Junior" Tyler, 59, of Westminster, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

Born June 10, 1954, in Mount Airy, he was the son of the late Thurman R. Tyler and Florabelle E. Snowden Tyler.

He was a 1971 graduate of Glenelg High School.

Surviving are a stepmother, Minnie Turner Tyler, of Mount Airy; sisters Marie Tyler Dorsey, of Westminster, Patricia Tyler Diggs, of Silver Spring, and Brenda Osuejbo, of Riverside, Calif.; brothers Tracy and wife Toni Tyler, of Mount Airy, John Dorsey, of Silver Spring, and foster brother, Tyrone Snowden, of Frederick; a stepbrother, Thomas Turner, of Sacramento; stepsisters Dana, Kim, Shelly and Renee Turner; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends Thomas Smith, Tony Magruder and David Bowman; and a number of other friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Saturday at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, with Bishop Ross Jackson officiating. Interment will be private.
