Timothy Lee Martin, 53, of Hampstead, died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born March 15, 1961 in Gettysburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Betty Jean Richter and Jennings S. Martin. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara Jean Martin. He was employed with the Carroll County Board of Education for 32 years, retiring from North Carroll Middle School in 2014. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1980 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his family pets and his favorite cat was Mercedes. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters Jennifer L. Martin of Hampstead, Erika N. Martin and fiancé B.J. Brothers of Hampstead, brothers and sisters-in-law Jennings Brian Martin and wife Brenda of Taneytown and David Scott Martin and wife Sandra Lee of Littlestown, Pa., a grandson Steven Miller, mother-in-law Carolyn Grimm of Hanover, Pa., brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Charles and Leighann Grimm and Patty and Kim Phillips. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 2 to 3 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 833 Deer Park Rd., Westminster, MD 21157, with his pastor, Rev. Dahl Drenning officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, to help the family defray funeral expenses.
