Treva Elaine Miles, 77, of Cooksville, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Gilchrist Hospice Care at Columbia.

Born Feb. 22, 1936, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Sidney Snowden Myers. She was the wife of Merle Curtis Miles.

She was a housekeeping supervisor at Henryton State Hospital for many years. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Taylorsville. She enjoyed opening her home to everyone, playing bingo, dancing and shopping.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons and daughter-in-law Angelo Miles and Julie Ann Snider, of Eldersburg, Larry Miles and Keith Miles, both of Ellicott City, Darryl Miles, of Connecticut, and Dana Miles, of Cooksville; daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Ron Whittaker, of Ellicott City, and Charlene and Charles Dorsey, of York, Pa.; sisters and brothers-in-law Rita Myers Perez, of Georgia, Faye Johnson, of Baltimore, Judith and Earl Dotson, of Baltimore County, Evelyn Jones, of Winfield, and Ruth and Larry Dorsey, of Woodbine; sister-in-law Shirley Myers, of Winfield; grandchildren Rashon Jackson, Brittany Whittaker, Chantel James, Justin Miles, Kenneth Miles, Breona Whittaker, Brandi Whittaker and Devon Miles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Douglas Deford Myers and Larry Cornelius Myers.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville.
