Truman Darrell Mayes, Jr., age 52 of Westminster, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Born January 25, 1964, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of Alice Larue Bowman Mayes of Clarksville and the late Truman Darrell Mayes. He was the loving husband of Michaelle-Ann Jones Mayes whom he married on December 20, 1986. Darrell had worked for the former Ditch Witch of Maryland, Inc. for 30 years. He was hard working and owned and operated Mayes & Son Lawn Care, LLC. Darrell was an avid NASCAR and football fan. He enjoyed working outdoors, his dogs, 'Zeus and Rain' and especially spending time with his family. Darrell was a graduate of Glenelg High School, Class of 1982. Everyone who met Darrell gained a friend. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are daughter, Dana E. Mayes of Westminster; son, Joshua C. "Cody" Mayes of Westminster; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer L. and Frank Jones of Clarksville; sister-in-law, Rebecca Buarque of Littlestown, PA; father-in-law, John Jones of FL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Raymond Buarque of Westminster and nieces, Katlin and Emily Jones, Gabrielle Molesi and Angela Blank. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10am. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the .
