Vaughn Christopher Ireland, 36, of Westminster, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at his home surrounded by family following a five-year battle with brain cancer.

Born May 1, 1977, in Westminster, he was the son of Charles L. and E. Virginia "Ginger" Krebs Ireland. He was the husband of Jamie L. Selby Ireland.

He worked as a glazer for 11 years with Westminster Glass & Mirror.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are a daughter, Carli Frances Ireland; paternal grandfather James E. "Mace" Ireland, of Westminster; brothers C. Gregory Ireland, of Baltimore, and J. Aaron Ireland, of Hampstead; nieces and nephews Eoghan, Zoe, Adam and Mya; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by paternal grandmother Dorothy Ireland and maternal grandparents Heindel and Hilda Krebs.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster; and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's United Church of Christ, 1441 East Mayberry Road, Westminster (Silver Run), with the Rev. Patricia Barth officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Silver Run.
