Mrs. Vicky Lynn Bangs, 57, of Union Bridge, died after an extended illness on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore. Born March 4, 1957 in Frostburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Virginia Andrews Llewellyn. Vicky worked for more than 20 years at Wilkes Precision Instrument Co. as a quality control inspector. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8806, Union Bridge. She loved word puzzles, bingo, reading, computer games and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are children, Jennifer Baker and fiancé, Brian Baker of Taneytown and Tim Bangs of Union Bridge; grandchildren, Katelynn Parsley, Tanner and Kerastin Baker and Braiden Bishop; and a great-grandchild due in March; brothers, Butch, Gary, Pete, Herb and Jack Llewellyn. She will also be missed by many "adopted" children. She was predeceased by her sisters, Peggy Snyder and Patty Stewart. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 East Broadway St., Union Bridge on Friday February 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home with Chaplain Charlene Fowler officiating.
