Viola Margie Schuchart, 86, of Westminster, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Judy, in Hanover, Pa.

Born Aug. 28, 1927, in Uniontown, she was a daughter of the late Jesse R. and Margie Selby Little. She was the wife of Melvin R. Schuchart, who died Feb. 26, 2004.

She was employed as a machine operator with Black and Decker, Hampstead, for 21 years. She then worked as an aide on the bus for A.R.C. Westminster for 20 years before retiring in 2006. She was a member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren in Westminster. She enjoyed sewing and made many of her children's clothes while they were growing up. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are children Linda M. Miller and husband Darrell, of Hanover, Melvin R. Schuchart Jr. and wife Karen, of Littlestown, Pa., Judy Schuchart, of Hanover, and Mark Schuchart and wife Janet, of Hanover; grandchildren Brandon Schuchart, of Hanover, Adam Schuchart, of Baltimore, Erin Miller, of Dover, Pa., Megan Schuchart, of Hanover, and Hailey Schuchart, of Hanover; four great-grandchildren; twin sisters Edith and Catherine Little, of Westminster; and brothers Larry Little, of Westminster, and Garry Little, of Harney.

She was predeceased by brothers Jesse, Edward and Norman Little.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of a memorial service, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, Pa., with the Rev. Samuel Garrett officiating. Interment will be private.
