Mrs. Virginia Mae Baile, 91, of New Oxford, PA and formerly of Frizzellburg, died at The Brethren Home Community on Saturday, March 7, 2015 after a brief illness. Born December 28, 1923 in Uniontown, she was the daughter of the late Henry O. and Virginia Rebecca Davis Sittig. She was the wife of Maurice Farver Baile who died in 2000. Mrs. Baile was a member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, Westminster. A loving wife and mother, she enjoyed gardening and flowers and her favorite pastime was reading. Surviving are a son, M. Frank Baile and friend, Nancy Tenney of Finksburg; 3 daughters, Dolores Beard and husband Larry of Hanover, PA; Kathrine King and husband Richard of Abbottstown, PA and Penney Baile and husband Bill Cockshott of Germantown; son-in-law, Carroll Doucette of Shapleigh, ME; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Caroline Garber of New Windsor and a brother, Robert Sitting of Salina, KS. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Doucette, 2 sisters, Margaret Sullivan and Elvy Bollinger and a brother, Carl Sitting. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14 at Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Rd., Westminster, with Rev. Tom Richard, church pastor, officiating. Private inurnment will be in Pipe Creek Cemetery, near Linwood, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA of Hanover Hospice Services, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331 or to Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Rd., Westminster, MD 21158.
