Virginia Marie Roe Barnes, 92, of Eldersburg, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

Born Jan. 14, 1920, in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. Roe and Marie Huson, and stepdaughter of the late Ruth Roe. She was the wife of the late Leroy Barnes, the late Ben Stevenson and the late Gus Kramer.

She was a member of American Legion Liberty Post 122 and the VFW in Owings Mills.

Surviving are children Barbara M. and husband John Serra, and Barry and wife Chris Kramer, all of Eldersburg; sister Josephine and husband Bill Shinholt, of Delaware; grandchildren John Jr. and wife Jackie Serra, James and wife Laura Serra, and Ricky, John and Jason Kramer; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by by a brother, Walter Roe; and a grandson, Scott Kramer.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
