Virginia Dorian "Ginny" Sparks, 90, of Upperco, died on Tuesday July 22, 2014 at the Lorien Nursing Home, Timonium. Born December 7, 1923 in Baltimore County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Harry L. and Ruth (Shettel) Fehl. She was the wife of the late Elton C. Sparks. She was a life member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, and on the church board. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. and the Eastern Star Lebanon Chapter 108. She had been a waitress at Friendly Farms for 43 years prior to retirement. Surviving are son, Walter Sparks of Hanover, PA; daughter-in-law, Wanda Sparks of Hampstead; grandsons, Jason Sparks & wife Lauren of Upperco, Jeremy Sparks of Frederick, Kyle Sparks of Hanover, PA; granddaughters, Paula Hyde of Hanover, PA, Emma Sparks of Hanover, PA.; great grandchildren, Keighyn, Brynndelyn, Ben and Megan. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jarrett Wicklein officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Salem United Methodist Church, 18217 Falls Road, Hampstead, MD 21074. Arrangements by ELINE FUNERAL HOME, Hampstead.
