Wade William Shifflett Sr., 75 of Randallstown, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Transitions Health Care in Sykesville. Born August 20, 1939 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Leon Edward and Margaret Elizabeth Davis Shifflett. He was the husband of Rhea Noreen Shifflett of Randallstown. He had been a carpenter for many years and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed racing his own cars at local speedways. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law Wade William Shifflett Jr. and his wife Amelia of Frederick, Thomas W. Shifflett of Carroll County, and Richard Kenneth Green and his wife Shari of Westminster, daughter Denise Bopst of Randallstown, brother Danny Shipley of Baltimore County, sisters Shirley Kennedy and Faye Smith, both of Florida, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Shifflett, his siblings, Natrual Egolf, Leon Shifflett Jr., Lester Shifflett, Phillip Shifflett, Blaine Shifflett, and Edward Shifflett, and by his son-in-law Robert Bopst. Funeral services will be held at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville on Friday at 7:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4pm and from 6pm until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
