Walter Leroy Miller Jr., 78, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Sept. 18, 1934, in Adams County, Pa., he was the son of the late Walter Miller Sr. and Naomi Erb Miller.

He worked at Black & Decker, English American Tailoring and made furniture. He was a member of the Westminster Moose Lodge and a former member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren.

He enjoyed bowling nature and being outdoors. He enjoyed country and bluegrass music, especially Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr.

Surviving are children Monty "Bunky" Miller, of Hanover, Pa., Amanda Sipling and husband Jeffrey, of New Oxford, Pa., Ronald Miller and wife Barbara, of Aspers, Pa., and William Miller, of Littlestown, Pa.; siblings Nancy Horick and Gloria "Butch" Kontz, both of Hanover, Larry Miller and wife Teresa, and Robert "Bobby" Miller and wife Sandy, all of Westminster; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sisters Linda "Dink" Knight, Patricia Crandel and Shirley Warehime; and a brother, Roy "Sonny" Miller.

Services and interment will be private.

Arrangements are by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
