Warren Townshend "Skip" Ferguson, 76, of Westminster passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 27, 1941 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Warren Townshend Ferguson, Sr. and Dorothy Grace (Owen) Ferguson. He was the loving husband of Eve May (Rexroad) Ferguson and they were married 53 years on September 11, 2017. Skip attended New Windsor High School until 1958 and then went to Bladensburg High School where he graduated in 1959. Immediately upon graduating, he joined the Air Force in order to see the world. He was then assigned at Fort Meade in Maryland. After his discharge, he worked for the National Security Agency for 35 years. Upon retirement, he then worked for General Dynamics until 2006. Skip always loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was very active in his church and held offices from nursery worker, Deacon and Treasurer. He and his wife were foster parents for 11 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are children and spouses, April L. Burnett (Steve), Paul W. Ferguson (Anna) and Michael D. Ferguson (Sofia); siblings and spouses, Richard Ferguson (Elke), Charleen Manzo, Charles Ferguson, Steven Ferguson, and Sharon Nicholson (Dale); grandchildren Grace, Maggie, Jack, Charlie, Samuel, Felix and Owen and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster from 2 to 4 pm and location of the funeral service on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 am, with Rev. T.J. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Carrollton Church of God Cemetery in Finksburg. In lieu of flowers, PLEASE make contributions in Skip's name to the Maryland/Delaware Baptist Convention, Disaster Relief Office, 10255 Old Columbia Rd., Columbia, MD 21046 or to Samaritan's Purse Disaster Relief, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
