Wendy Forbush Morrow, 86, of Taneytown, formerly of Stevensville, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown.

Born Nov. 28, 1926, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Bliss and Laverne Hill Forbush. She was the wife of Miles Webster Morrow, who died in 1986.

She worked for many years in procurement for Maryland National Bank. She was a Girl Scout leader for 28 years. She collected lighthouses, liked to swim and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her friends at hospice. She liked steamed Maryland crabs and Maryland crab cakes.

Surviving are son Miles Webster Morrow Jr. and wife Paula, of Ames, Iowa; daughters Wendy Hungerford, of New Windsor, and Deborah Forbush Morrow, of Philomont, Va.; a sister, Marjorie Scott, of Cockeysville; brother Byron Forbush Jr. and wife Betsy, of Lutherville; grandchildren Charles Daniel Hungerford and wife Melissa, of Westminster, John Miles Morrow and wife Swati Dhingra, of London, England, and Megan Lindsey Monroe and husband Michael, of Austin, Texas; a great-grandson, Tyler Charles Hungerford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Bliss Forbush Jr.; and sisters Jessie Forbush Schorreck, Connie Forbush Davis and Helen Mary Overstreet.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later time in Friends Cemetery on Harford Road in Baltimore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Queen Anne's County, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617, where she volunteered for many years.

Arrangements are by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
