Wilbur Orville Sisler, 90, of Westminster, passed away at his home on Monday, April 2, 2018. Wilbur was the husband of Peggy Ann Sisler, his beloved wife of 66 years. He was born on May 13, 1927 in Friendsville, MD to the late David and Blanche (O'Reily) Sisler. Wilbur was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy. He worked as a construction superintendent throughout his career. In addition to his wife, Wilbur is survived by his daughters; JoAnn (Ervan) Hare of Mount Airy and Carol (Vince) Brown of Westminster; his sons David Sisler of Oakland and William (Rebecca) Sisler of Westminster. He also leaves his five grandchildren; Jacob, Pamela and Hannah Sisler, and Kelsey and Rachel Harter. Wilbur is survived by nieces Frances Elder and Suzie Harris. Wilbur attended Deer Park United Methodist Church and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local # 101. Wilbur enjoyed bluegrass music, hunting, water divining, storytelling, and being a helpful neighbor. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Wilbur was predeceased by his siblings, Dorothy Federow, Laurine Fisher and Grace Sisler. His family will welcome visitors on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. At 12:00, a funeral service will be held with Pastor John Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Deer Park (United Methodist) Cemetery.
