Willa Royce Smith Shinholt, 74, of Sykesville, died Friday, May 25, 2012.

Born in 1937, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Wilma E. Gatrell Frick and the late Harold R. Smith.

She was an identical triplet, and growing up she and her sisters enjoyed playing the accordion. Throughout their lives, the triplets always dressed alike when together. She was a graduate of Allegany High School.

Upon moving to Pikesville, in 1975, she became a member of Eastern Star in Reisterstown, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rockdale for many years until she became a resident of Brinton Woods in Sykesville. She enjoyed cooking, canning, traveling, singing in the church choir, playing hand bells, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are children and spouses William D. Shinholt, Cathleen L. and David Staples, Bryan E. and Dana Shinholt, Robert R. and Hazel Shinholt, Jeffery A. and Mary Shinholt, and James R. and Deborah Shinholt; a sister, Wilda Rita Heavner; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Wilma Rae Wells.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Community Church, 895 Leidy Road, Westminster; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1601 Frederick St., Cumberland. Interment will be private.
