William F. Hiel, 84, of Westminster, died Saturday, July 14, 2012.

He was the husband of the late Elma K. Thomas Hiel.

Surviving are children Richard D. Hiel and wife Sally, Nancy J. Maccherone and husband Frank, Gary M. Hiel, Tammy L. Reymann and husband David, and Jeffery J. Hiel and wife Susan; grandchildren Jason Eldridge, Brandon Maccherone, Dara Oriolo, Travis Maccherone, Amanda Hiel Spurrier, Kory Hiel, Justin Reymann, Rebecca Reymann and Colin Reymann; great-grandchildren Tristan Eldridge, Xavier, Violet and Georgia Maccherone, and Dominic and Mason Oriolo; brothers Richard, Robert Hiel and Richard "Dickie" Bauer; and sisters Dolly Polly and Helen Woods.

He was predeceased by brothers James and Joseph Hiel.

Friends may call for a gathering from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home, 1630 Edmonson Ave., Catonsville.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will be private.
