William Frank Baylor, Jr., passed to his next great adventure on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Born in Bluefield, VA on April 3, 1927, the son of the late W. Frank Baylor and Virginia Tyler Baylor. In 1936 the family moved to Richmond VA when his father accepted a position as a Virginia state bank examiner. Baylor was a graduate of Richmond's Thomas Jefferson High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as a hospital corpsman at the close of WWII. A graduate of the University of Richmond, Baylor was employed by the Boy Scouts of America in the Shenandoah Area Council, Winchester; National Capitol Area Council, Washington DC; and the Baltimore Area Council where he served as District Scout Executive; for a total of 15 years. He was a High School teacher and coach in Fauquier County Virginia's Bealeton High, and at the same time was employed as the part time sports editor for the Fauquier Democrat. Baylor rounded off his working career as a special agent for the Prudential Insurance Company in the Baltimore Area. He was preceded in death by first wife Ruth B. Baylor in 1994, and his second wife Irmgard Waggy-Baylor in 2017 and his son Andy E. Baylor in 2015. He is survived by his son Frank Baylor and his wife Jenny Teeter of Westminster, MD; his daughter Beth Baylor Probst and her husband Bob Probst of King, NC; his daughter-in-law Jackie Baylor of La Repara-Auriples, France; and his stepson Eric Waggy and his wife Barbara Waggy of Novi, MI. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren R. Ryanne Probst of Brooklyn, NY, Megan M. Probst of Philadelphia, PA, and Sam A. Probst of King, NC and Matthew Waggy of Novi, MI. A Celebration of Life will be held during his favorite time of the year, summer, 2018, near a train and the Shenandoah River. Stay tuned.
