William Alexander Freeman, 79, of Westminster, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born March 4, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late William R. and Violet Pratt Andrews. He was the husband of Patricia Selby Freeman whom he married June 18, 1955. Bill was a computer specialist, serving in both the Indiana National Guard and the Maryland National Guard, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Abingdon Elks Lodge 2354 and loved camping, fishing and automobile racing. Surviving in addition to his wife are children Brenda L. Freeman of Westminster, Bruce A. Freeman of Street and Roy D. Freeman of Westminster; sister June Bland of Linton, IN; brothers Ronnie Andrews and wife Melba of Monticello, GA, Everett Andrews and Cliff Andrews of IN; niece Dixie Thomas and husband Tim of Linton, IN and nephew Ronnie D. Andrews II of Georgia. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 12 from 6 pm until the start of Memorial Services at 8 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. Officiating will be Chaplain Dan Laterza. Inurnment will take place in Indiana at a later date.
