William Harrison "Pappy" Wilson, 91, of Westminster, died Jan. 22, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born March 25, 1921, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elmer and Anna Fuget Wilson. He was the husband of Ethel Estelle "Mom Mom" Wilson, his wife of 66 years, who died Sept. 14, 2012.

He was an Army veteren serving during World War II in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a retired tractor trailer driver for Mountainside Transport, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of the American Legion Post in Hamilton. He enjoyed listening to gospel music, photography, and spending time working in the outdoors. He was known as a "jack of all trades," helping friends and neighbors, and enjoyed his family.

He was known for his sense of humor and to have followed the mottos "God, country, and family" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Surviving are daughters and son-in-law Darlene and Michael Mangum, and Carol Harris; grandchildren Hailey Morgan, William Harris and spouse Farjana, Michael Ryan Mangum, Gregory Mangum and spouse Maranda, and Christopher Mangum and fiancee Alison Fritz; and a great-granddaughter, Inara Harris. He was one of 13 siblings.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Ray Shutt officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
