William Joseph Yeager, 90, of Westminster passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. He was born on April 10, 1926 in Baltimore, MD and was the son of the late William John and Mary Agnes (nee Sweeney) Yeager. He was the husband to the late Dorothy Louise Yeager, his wife of 56 years, and who predeceased him in August of 2004. William was a graduate of Catonsville High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served during World War II. He was a dedicated employee at C & P Telephone Company where he worked as an engineer for 38 years, until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed bowling, traveling to casinos, and crabbing and fishing. Surviving him are children William "Bill" L. Yeager and wife Kathern of Queen Anne, David M. Yeager of Gulf Breeze, FL, Donna L. Carlo and husband David of Herndon, VA; brother and sister-in-law Lawrence J. Yeager and Patricia of Westminster; grandchildren Michael Yeager and Katherine Marie Wunderlich; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Daniel Yeager, sister Kathleen Brandt, and daughter-in-law Cynthia Yeager. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 1st at 12:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with Father Mark Bialek as celebrant. Interment with military honors to follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 291 Stoner Ave., Westminster MD 21157.
