Winona (Buckingham) Klunk, age 76, of Hanover, PA, died peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the York Hospital due to complications from stage 4 colon cancer. Born January 14, 1940 in Carroll County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Ruppert) Buckingham. She is survived by her husband, John Klunk. Winona was a retired LPN. She loved animals and going to thrift shops. She always enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving her in addition to her husband are children, Linda Lawrence and husband Pat of New Oxford, PA, Francis "Junior" Owings and wife Cindy of Hanover, PA, Billy Owings of New Oxford, PA, Erik Owings and wife Michelle of Littlestown, PA, Chad Owings and wife Julie of Hanover, PA, Ian Owings and wife Jennifer of Hanover, PA, Wes Klunk and wife Jessica of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Kirsten Conklin, Megan, Brandon, Ryan, Allison, Carter, Paige, Jacob, Coleman, Ian, Jr., and Samantha Owings, Carson Klunk; great-granddaughter, Willow Stambaugh; good friend, Sue Owings of Camp Hill, PA. She was predeceased by children, Jessica Owings, Ritchie and Barbie Klunk; and by sister, Barbara Ausherman. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD, with the Pastor Bruce Bouchard officiating. Interment will follow in St. David's Cemetery in Hanover, PA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
