In his off time, he was an Avid NASCAR, Orioles, and Ravens fan. Roland was a faithful member of St Paul's Lutheran Church of Arcadia, where he also served as caretaker of the cemetery. His family remembers him as the "caregiver" of the neighborhood. Roland always put other peoples need ahead of his own. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Roland is survived by his children: William (Linda) Hale, Jr., Hope Hale, Brenda (Tommy) Zepp, Julie (William) Hare, Dawn (Gary) Hooper, Rodney (Gail) Hale; 4 siblings; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents; beloved wife, Janice Maxine Hale, and 7 siblings. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company Activity Building on Friday Oct 16th from 10am to 12pm, followed by a celebration of Roland's life at 12pm. Interment will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roland's Life.
