Nathan Hymiller Obituary



Nathan R. Hymiller, Sr., age 89, of Sykesville, died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Transitions Health Care, Sykesville. Born June 8, 1925, in Sykesville, MD he was the son of the late Jeremiah N. Hymiller and Rosie V. Farver Hymiller. He was the husband of Evelyn H. Sill Hymiller. Nathan had worked as a carpenter for many years. He had also been a mechanic for the former Mullinix Motors. He was a member of Wards Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, birds and fishing. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter and son-in-law; Sharon and Larry Fritz of Sykesville, son and daughter-in-law; Nathan R. Hymiller, Jr. and Karen Hymiller of Franklinton, NC and grandchildren; Helen Brosenne, Lee Fritz, Rita Fritz, Nathan "Chip: Hymiller, III and Daniel Hymiller. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings; Jeremiah, Frank, George and John Hymiller and Helen Stauffer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12noon to 2pm at Wards Chapel United Methodist Church, 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown where a funeral service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Don Burgard officiating. Interment will be in Wards Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
