Bernice Emerson Obituary

Bernice Emerson of Liberty passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at the Harrodsburg Health Care. She was 84.
Born Feb. 1, 1932 in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Beckham and Sadie Goode Edwards.
She was a homemaker. Bernice raised her children to be responsible and to work for a living.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Emerson of Liberty and Johnny (and Katrina) Emerson of Booneville; two daughters, Nancy Hayes of Liberty and Lylia (and Michael) Atwood of Liberty; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Beckham Edwards Jr. of Moreland and Gerald Edwards of Casey County.
Funeral services were Feb. 13 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial was at Peavey Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Bruce, Terrell, Tony, Tim, Tom and Joey Edwards, and Nick and Derrieck Hayes.
