Clarice Williams Floyd, 98, of Yosemite, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Liberty Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 29, 1919, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Marvice and Zettie Emerson Williams.

Clarice was the widow of Aaron "Big A" Floyd.

Clarice was a former licensed practical nurse and a member of the Mount Olive Christian Church. She wrote for Casey News covering Mount Olive area from 1956-2010..

Survivors include three sons, Robert "Bobby" (Marlene) Floyd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Carroll C. (Betty) Floyd of Campbellsville and W. Gene (Sue) Floyd of Shelbyville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Williams of Waynesburg; and two sisters, Aline Luttrell of Dunnville and Florence Plemmons of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Besides her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Floyd; six brothers, Reid, Ernest, Frank, Cleo, David and Ronald Williams; and a sister, Hazel Bennett.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Mount Olive Christian Church with the Rev. Greg Powell officiating. Burial follows in Durham Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty and continues at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the church.
